It’s Only the Beginning

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Obviously, today is the first day of the rest of your life.  And mine too.  Go figure!

So what will tomorrow bring?  Some would argue, anything you like.  Kind of like that, don’t you?

But, we’re fresh.  Life is fresh.  It’s time.  It’s a new beginning.

Where did this year go to already?  How can tomorrow be June 1st?  Heck in some parts of the world it already is. That’s a pretty bizarre notion if you think about it.  My advice?  Don’t.  Unless you can make a futures bet based on what’s already happened in those parts of the world where it’s already June 1st.  But, that doesn’t sound fair.  I know, I know.  That’s what people have been telling me.  Life just isn’t fair.  I beg to differ.

All I do know, is that there’s a lot that I don’t know.  How do I know that?  Hmmmm.

But, I do know that the sun will come up tomorrow morning… And somewhere in the world it’s doing just that right now…. even if we can’t see it.  Whether it be to a total eclipse, or heavy cloud cover.

I say new day; New opportunity. What’s past is past.  What’s now is now… and now is just the beginning of what your future was a moment ago.

Here’s a question that was posed today that I couldn’t answer.  What’s the difference between a goal and a/your destiny?  Actually if memory serves me correctly I might have been the one that asked that question.  And, I don’t recall being satisfied by the answer that was given. Do you have an answer?  If you do, please either post a comment to this post, or start a new thread on the “Mystical” Board on the Squirrel Forum:  http://www.wheresoursquirrel.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Mystical (You will have to register if you haven’t already done so.  It’s FREE to register :)  Do it now, and may that step be your new beginning to a whole new experience for you.

Around Me and Without Me

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

As the world turns so do we. Everything exists in me and around me.  Everything lives on their own volition and has its own energy.

Are we, and so therefore, am, because we exist?

Or, do we exist to be?

So much has changed… I feel like when I wake up I need to refer to a road map just to see where I am… what I’m supposed to do… and where I am supposed to go.

If today is Thursday, this must be my day off.  This week.  What will next week bring?  A different place.  Different circumstances.  Different issues.  But different opportunities.  Opportunities that are welcomed and embraced.  I better embrace them.  I need a place to make these notes and place annotations on my road map.

Interesting, isn’t it, that the road map just shows where we have been.  But does it?

I have to remember to remember that we can chart the course we sail… and rough seas are all apart of the journey… and (perhaps?) half the thrill… especially once we reach the shore on the other side.

But, getting back to the title of this blog, do you ever see the world going on around you, and it seems like life is going on without you?  I do sometimes.  How does one get in the flow?  That’s the strange thing about currents in the river… they’re very powerful and can carry things that are caught up in them for great distances with very little effort.  Yet, at the same time, they repel things that approach them.  I suppose that it means that to live you have to exert some effort, but yourself not only out there, but willing to take the risk of rejection.  It can be frightful if we’ve tried before and been rebuffed by the currents and flow of life.

Perhaps we need a paradigm shift.  Instead of trying to burst through the wall of resistance, we can find an easier, less traveled (or perhaps it only seems less traveled because we haven’t notices that pathway before) entrance.  Either under or transported in to the flow.  Under sounds a little scary (one can drown going deep under water)… but what about the alternative?  Transported directly in to the circle of life.  How does one do that?  With connections.  It is important to know who you know.  Those in the “know” can get you in the door and in to the flow so easily and effortlessly.

Feel like you’re out of the know?  Time to get in to the know.  Get out there.  Be with people.  Put it out to the universe what your goals, dreams, aspirations, hopes, desires, and more, are. And the Universe will open a path for you.  And when the road appears, take it.
