Exposing Yet Another Old Wives Tale

Ummm, this is the first that I am exposing on this blog, but not the first one I’ve ever exposed (check my other Forums)…

Now technically I’m not sure if this is a old wives tale or not.  Perhaps someone can clarify it for us.

Enough.  Here’s the old wives tale:  A chainsaw cuts through a tree like a hot knife through butter.

Umm, NO.  And, not even close

Chainsaws DO make a lot of noise!  Similar to the screams, I would assume, if one cut themselves with an extremely hot butter knife.  Not that I have ever done that… And, that is one “tale” that I don’t wish to disprove.  At least not at this time.
