Still Tired; Still Groggy; But, Still Blogging On…

I’m still in the wrong time zone.  But, I can’t go on using that as an excuse for not blogging today.  Where’s there a will; there is a blog.  That’s what I always say.

So, what shall we talk about tonight?  We could talk about food.  We could talk about shelter.  We could even talk about the Yankees (takes pause to check the score of the game - OMG I’ve done it again!  Every time I concede they make me look like a fool - STOP THAT!!).  I’m not ready to talk about the Yankees though.  If Carl Pavano is going to be our savior the Yankee Gods are playing us for fools.  I firmly believe that it’s the ghost of Yankees past that’s jinxed the Yankees not to make the Playoffs in this, the final year of the Old Yankee Stadium.

But, let’s ramble on about something more salient in this day and age… When’s the last time you’ve gone grocery shopping?  Apparently in the week I was gone they raised all their prices by close to 20%.  We should have stayed in Seattle (well, we would have fetched the boys… and the price of gasoline was way higher there than here).

I don’t know how people can feed a family of six now-a-days.  I know how hard it is to feed five.  Six must be next to impossible.  Unless you’re a decendent of Rockefeller or Sam Walton.  Perhaps even Bill Gates.  I wonder where Bill Gates does his food shopping.  Do you think he does it himself?

Has anyone tried shop at home services like Peapod?  If so, please share your experiences.

What will be next?

Right now I’d take a 10 game winning streak by the Yankees, and a spot in the Playoffs.  That will put EVERYTHING back in to perspective ;)
