Open House
We went to Open House this evening at Chris’s Middle School. This is an annual ritual that the school has. First it was the Elementary Schools, today was the Middle School… and I heard that it’s carried through to the High Schools too.
Sitting, if even for just a few minutes in each of Chris’s classes and getting to meet his teachers and hear about what they’re learning, what’s expected of the students, etc., etc., made me long to go back to school again. I don’t remember school being THAT much fun. And, I bet that if I did go back now (especially if it were to Middle Scool) my grades would improve.
So, now we know what’s expected of Chris, and where we can go to find out what his teacher has posted, the homeworks and the assignments, including the dates of Quizzes, Exams, and Projects, poor Chris won’t know what hit him when he comes home after school and we ask, did you do this? Are you ready for that? How’s the book you’re reading? What’s it about? What are you going to write that paper about? Poor Chris.
Parents never had it this good when I was growing up!
