Footballs Bounce Funny

That’s the only to describe what’s going on in the National Football League.  You expect a team to win; They lose.  You expect a team to lose; They win.  Ever try to catch a bouncing football?  It bounces funny.  There’s almost no way to guess which way it will bounce next.  Perhaps that’s why there’s no way to predict who’s going to win each game.

Why is a football shaped the way it is?  I’ve read it is because it’s easier to throw a ball shaped that way faster, straighter, longer, and more accurate.  Did they not think that the ball might end up on the ground?

Why isn’t a baseball cubed shape?  A hockey puck not a sphere?  Who came up with these designs?  Dali?

With Jacksonville losing (go figure!), and the Bears getting upset (sadly, but not for long), I could have wrapped this up (for the second time this season I must add).  But, now, barring a miracle comeback, I’m going to be watching the rest of the season from the sidelines.  Of course miracles can happen in this game. There’s just NO telling which way the ball will bounce.  If only it will go Tampa’s way…
