Tuesday Snoweth
We had our first taste of snow today. But, you had to have a very accurate tongue to get a taste of it. It was just some minor flurries. But, hopefully it’s not an omen that we’re going to get a lot of snow this winter.
Not that I don’t like snow. It’s very pretty to LOOK at. But, no one here knows how to drive in it.
It’s a sad time of year when a lot of the leaves have now fallen from their trees. It starts to take on that barren look. And, it seems like forever ’til Spring comes around again.
The days are shorter… the nights are longer. It’s getting dark at around 5:30pm now. You get out of work, and it just feels so much later than it really is.
I don’t know why some people after they move away say one of the things they miss is having four seasons. Is the grass greener on the other side? I say, give me a nice clear day, with temperatures steady at 72 degrees with a light breeze blowing off the water… and of course very low humidity (none is no good either). And, when the sun goes down, the temperatures drop to about 50 degrees. A nice light jacket or sweater is all you need. Perfect weather for your evening constitutional or a bike ride. Ahhhh. That’s more like it.
Snow? You can have it! I’ll take mine in a Norman Rockwell painting please.
