Cold Weather Leads to…

Colds.  I don’t care what people say that you can’t get a cold from a chill.  And that it’s a virus and the only way to get it is to come in contact with someone with a cold.  I say the cold (as in weather not the illness) reduces ones resistance, hence we are more receptive to succumbing to the virus.

That said, you think that I would learn after all these years to dress warmer when the weather turns colder.  It’s hard teaching an old dog new tricks.  Essh, hang on a second.  I am SO not old.

So what’s my excuse?  Not enough Vitamin C?  Not eating properly?  Not getting enough sleep?  Not enough exercise.  I probably get enough Vitamin C… which means that I, umm, hmmm, need to re-evaluate how I take care of myself.

I know that proper nutrition is provided at mealtimes thanks to our extraordinary chef also known as my super-terrific wife and mother.  I just have to stop being so finicky.

And I have to remember to bundle up.  A little perspiration never killed anyone right?  Right?  ;)

And I have to remember to get enough sleep (so that means posting to my blog earlier… getting my ducks in order.  Making To-Do Lists, prioritizing them — and of course actually completing them)….

All that, and another dose of Sudafed right now (I sure wish that we had the kind that DOES make you drowsy), and I should be good to go again real soon.

Thanks for listening, and thanks for your advice.  And, no my wife is NOT available to cook your meals.  Eat your heart out ;)
