Random Acts of Kindness
Wouldn’t it be just wonderful if everyone committed at least one random act of kindness? Especially at the holiday season when everyone seems to forget what the holidays are all about. What greater gift can you give someone by doing something unexpected for them? The smile on their face (or perhaps even astonished look!) will warm the cockles of your heart.
What a far better world we would live in if we were to remember that we truly are all connected. Forget about six degrees of separation. We’re ALL in this TOGETHER. So, c’mon people now and smile on your brother, neighbor, stranger (they’re not really strangers — you just don’t know one another yet).
Ever strike up a conversation with someone you don’t know? Has that ever had negative consequences? I think people want to connect. We need to connect. We need to grow together and the only way to do it is to reach out and touch someone (not literally — that’s not acceptable now a days — but, touch with your kindness, thoughtfulness, and humanity).
Let’s all make this a better world for you, for me, and most importantly, for our children.
