The Giants Crash and Burn
Playing perhaps their worst game of the season, the season crashed to a dismal end in the Giants first game in the NFL Playoffs.
Where there was magic last year there was angst as the season ended.
Getting off to an 11-1 start, they shot themselves in the foot when Plaxico Burris literally did. Since he went down (literally and figuratively), the Giants were a paultry 1-4. Not a way to end a season. What a bitter disappointment this year has truly turned out to be.
I guess the only solace is that practically all the top rated teams have lost in the playoffs.
I think the Philadelphia Eagles now have the best shot at winning the Super Bowl. As I posted on the Squirrel Forum, I said that whoever would win todays game would likely win the whole enchilada. And, if you believe the results of the Survivor Pool that was held on the Squirrel Forum, then you might just have to go to the bank with the Eagles.
But, if the Eagles, or another team does win the Super Bowl, please let me know. I’ve lost all interest in football for this season.
I guess I’m not the sports fan I used to be. And, also, how come there isn’t a professional sports team with the moniker of “Squirrel”? Now that would be a team I could go nutz over ![]()
