Super Bowl Hype

Stop it already!  Just play the damn game already before anyone that really doesn’t care, won’t care.

Spoken like a true New York (Jersey) Giants football fan, don’t you know?

Wait, if you haven’t already had enough I think tomorrow’s pre-game show is about six hours long.  What can they possibly talk about?  Surely it won’t be about the commercials.  Though THAT might be an interesting topic of discussion, rumor, and dare I say, innuendo?  There I said it!  So what!  So what?  I don’t know.  But, I do know I like saying that word.  Innuendo.

So, the game will officially start at a bit after 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time.  By the way, why does all time being quoted in the United States start with Eastern Standard Time?  Don’t people in the other time zones feel a bit slighted?  Like second class citizens?  (umm, or in their time zones, THAT’s the time that’s quoted first?  I guess if I travel real fast to catch the same commercials in other parts of the country…. I will finally find out for sure!  I think that’s more exciting right now than waiting for the game to start).

And, please, don’t even get me started on who’s playing.  Remember?  Giants fan?!  Let’s go Yankeeeees!!!

If you have to watch (can you imagine being so bored by all the pre-game hype that you actually fall asleep just BEFORE kickoff?), do yourself a favor and turn off all the pre-game stuff; load up on refreshements… and stuff yourself just as the game begins.

Do you remember the year that they created a silent 30 second television spot for everyone to go to the bathroom lest they miss any of the commercials?  THOSE were the good old days!

Game on!
