The Gentle Art of Blogging

How does one keep a blog going?  How can one keep their audience?  I ask these questions because a) I don’t know if anyone actually reads this, besides myself (and sometimes I don’t even read it), and b) If people are reading it, how do I keep them coming back?

I know the answers of course.  Fresh content.  Relevant content.  Have a theme (I sure don’t).  Attract the audience through word of mouth (or e-mail) by knowing your audience (hello Audience!  Is there any body out there?)

If you’ve read this far, please send me an email (click on the word email) to let me know that you’ve read this.  That in itself will give me incentive to continue writing.  Oh.  Do tell me whether you like what I’m saying or not.  And, if you have any suggestions, please share them (either via e-mail or though a comment to this post).

And (#2), if you want to be a co-author, please let me know and we can discuss further.

So.  How are we doing?

I just realized I said I was going to be gentle.  But, perhaps gentle persuasion is not the appropriate approach.  A sledgehammer?  No wait, perhaps a pair of pliers would have the desired affect.  Yes, I think that’s the way to get what one wants, don’t you?  Gentle?  Perhaps not in the eye of the beholdee.  But apparently it can be very effective.  Very.

Removing tongue from cheek, we go back to what I feel is the more effective method of not persuasion, but discussion.  Words.  Communication.  Dialog.

Let’s talk.
