All-Star Games

I have a master plan for professional sports to (finally) do the right thing.

I would like to see these “sporting” events become charitable events.  ALL the proceeds should be donated to either a charity of the league’s choice, or perhaps each player can designate a charity that they will play for, and the proceeds from the game, yes, ALL of them, would be protated amongst all the designated charities.

It’s time for these leagues to give something back, and for the players to give something back to the fans as well.  Any salary or bonus that these players receive for playing in an All-Star game would go directly to the charity of their choice.

Professional sports have to realize that without the fan there is no game.  And they need to start giving back instead of always taking, taking, taking, and taking some more.  Greed is starting to turn off fans.  Fans can no longer afford to go to games.  What happens when the fans are gone?  Geez, I guess there would be no more sport.  Then what are these team owners and athletes going to do??

What do you think of my suggestion?

I don’t think I’ve heard this suggestion proposed anywhere else.  I wonder why not?  Perhaps, it’s GREED  (which is just one letter removed from GREEN, which is the color of MONEY).

Give back NOW!
