The Yankees are undefeated.  Did someone way 162-0?  Well, if they don’t win the World Series, that won’t matter.  But, I think that this is the year.

Will the Mets be their opponent?  Two new stadiums.  Great starting pitching on both teams.  The shakeup of the Mets batting order is working to perfection.  Will they be perfect?

Will we have the perfect ending to the perfect season?

We need something to take our mind off the economy.  Don’t mention baseball salaries though.  That’s just too depressing for those that can’t find jobs.  And, how is anyone going to afford tickets to go to the games?  And corporations which purchased all the luxury boxes, and are currently mismanaging all of their gifts… will they keep the boxes, or find the new religion on fiscal responsibility?

Somehow or other this post just took on a depressing tone.  How can things be bad when the baseball season is about to start.  Yep, that’s our ticket to escape.  The words we long to hear…
