What’s This World Coming To?
Pirates? I thought that they went the way of the buggy whip. How can we still have pirates?
The common cold? Why can’t we anhiliate this dreaded bug-a-boo?
Mets AND Yankees both lose their home opener in their brand spanking new stadiums? Time for them to move back to their old stadiums (no wait, Shea has gone the way of that buggy whip), or move to a new state like the Jets and Giants did.
The sun rises in the East and sets in the West? Well, yeah, it still does do that.
Getting 0.05% on your interest bearing checking account? Why oh why did we ever complain that ALL we were getting was a fixed 5.0%?
The cost of a first class postage stamp is about to go up to 44 cents? Time to email more.
Where did the “cents” symbol go on todays keyboards? I guess cents don’t make no sense any more.
What happened to face-to-face communication? Now a days we do everything via e-mail, text, twitter, myspace, facebook, phone calls (which we screen), etc., etc. Time to start mailing out letters again (don’t heed what I wrote a few statements ago). Or, better yet, how about actually going out and meeting face-to-face?
What’s this world coming to when we blog because we think we’re so important that we just have to put it all out there on the Internet for everyone in the world to read. Are we that self-centered? Umm, never mind. Please skip this post and read the next one
