Ubuntu (Version 9.04)
Just released late last week, version 9.04 has some incredible new features that make the argument for at least trying out Linux more salient than ever!
Ubuntu is a community developed, Linux-based operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. It contains all the applications you need - a web browser, presentation, document and spreadsheet software, instant messaging and much more.
Start working in 17 seconds!! That’s right, from the time you select ubuntu (assuming you’ve set it up as dual boot) to the moment your desktop is loaded and you can start to work!
And, my favorite new feature of this release is that you can now access all your files that you created in Windows, in Ubuntu!
