On Saturday Scott Will Become a Fountain Pen

That’s what my Uncle Willie said the Bar Mitzvah would become… because the traditional gift was a fountain pen. BTW, he gave me the most beautiful sterling silver Parker fountain pen. I never quite realized its worth until I lost it many years later. Though I could never replace it since it was his gift to me.

So, on Saturday, we’re traveling north to my cousin (??? I’m HORRIBLE with relationships… he’s the son of my first cousin. What does that make him in relation to me?) Scott. I’m sure we’ll have a most fabulous time. Good luck Scott!!

Just to make matters much more, umm, interesting, I thought I had made hotel reservations a few weeks ago.  Only to find out yesterday when I was double checking all our arrangements that I didn’t have a record (no entry in my planner, Outlook, my online calendar, no email receipt.  NADA!).  PANIC!!!  I started calling all the usual suspects and my credit card company, and no one had a record of any reservation that I made.  So, assuming that some-timers started setting in early, I just booked a reservation for tomorrow night.

I’m glad we don’t have to sleep in the car ;)
