Fried Brains

No, not some exotic delicacy enjoyed by the natives of the remotest villages in the world.  Though being on a remote isolated island doesn’t sound like a bad idea right now.  But, what happens to a brain that’s deprived of air conditioning on the hottest, most humid, and disgusting stretch of weather that we’ve been subjected to so far this summer.

And, to having just attended a meeting in yet another un-air-conditioned setting just puts adds the finishing ingredient to the recipe for fried brains.

My brain is fried.  My body is right behind.  Nice and toasty… not so moist any more on the inside.  I’m continuing to remind myself to hydrate.  But, I’m not.  Dehydration is not a fun state of being.  Coupled with fried brains — which continue to the forgetfulness to hydrate — is a recipe for disaster.  And, I’m a train wreck in the making.

I will apologize upfront if this blog post derails.  I just hope I remember to save it if I pass out before I publish it (while most readers are hoping I pass out BEFORE I save it… and god forbid BEFORE I publish it).  But, I’m dedicated.  Focused.  Driven.  Now just to find faith.

I believe I can.  I believe I can.  I believe I can.  Said the little engine.

I have to be the engine that could.  Despite, or in spite of, the heat, the humidity, and the haze that’s encrusting my brain.  Trying to drag this little engine to a halt.

I won’t let it.  I can’t let it.  I think I can.  I think I can.  I know I can.

I can do it!  And, so can you.

So?  Do it!!
