Time For a Meaty Post
I would so love to have a sizzling steak right now. Hot off the BBQ. Mmm Mmmm Mmmmm just the thought is making me salivate. Perhaps it’s a T-Bone. Or a Filet Mignon. Even a good London Broil cooked just right would hit the spot.
Top it off with some cole slaw, corn on the cob, and perhaps some french fries and then we’d really be talking. And cooking. And dining. Yum Yum Yum.
Can you tell that I had a bowl of Cherio’s, and two toaster waffles for dinner.
Tomorrow is another day.
Meat Meat Meat. Must have steak. Thick, juicy, and sizzling. Steak.
My nostrils are twitching… sniffing about for steak steak steak.
Was this really what I intended to post about tonight? I don’t know. I seem to get off on a tangent and just run with it… to the nearest butcher to get a succulent steak just ready to lay it’s life on the line on my barbecue
Since no steak is coming my way, I think I’ll just fast forward to desert. Some nice ice cream would be good. Vanilla Chocolate Chip -or- Edy’s French Silk. Hmm, we’re out of that too. We do have some sherbet. And that’s most refreshing for sure. And, I bet I will conclude my evening with a bowl of either the Orange flavor or the Rainbow.
But, I’m conjuring up another thought. Stop ‘N Shop had a great sale on Dannon yogurt today. 20 for eight dollars. I loaded up. Everyone likes yogurt in the house but me. Though if truth be told it’s because I’ve never ever tried it. Well, I think I did try it once about 30 some odd years ago. And, I really DO love frozen yogurt. Do you think I’ll like yogurt. I was going to say “plain old” yogurt, but I didn’t buy any plain flavored. I bought a lot of the vanilla thinking… yes, the thought was already entering my mind at the time.. that I might actually try it. And since I love frozen vanilla yogurt I guess I just might like plain old vanilla yogurt. I also got about a dozen of the fruit flavored yogurts, but if I do try it it will be the vanilla that I would go for.
My resistance seems to be weakening. I know we must have at least one clean spoon in the drawer… and the refrigerator is oh so close. It wouldn’t take much effort for me to get up… get a spoon (that first, since in case there are no clean spoons this experiment will have to wait until tomorrow), and then get a vanilla yogurt from the ‘fridge.
Being that I’ve never eaten plain old yogurt before there’s the whole how do you eat it. I’ve watched people eat the fruit flavored and they stir it up all nice and good before they eat it. I guess I should do the same with the vanilla. But, how do I know when it’s ready for consumption? Since there is no fruit in the mix which gives a nice indication that the yogurt is ready, I’m not sure I know what to look for. Perhaps I’ll just give it a go.
I do hope there’s a spoon.
