Where Has Summer Gone?
Summer, we just got to know ye. You were late to arrive, but oh what a statement you made the last few weeks with your heat and humidity, but know you’re starting to fade away as our days go shorter.
Tomorrow we turn our calendars over to September. The Fall. The U.S. Open. It’s practically Halloween, and then Thanksgiving, then Christmas and the warmth turns to cold and snow as we bid the year adieu.
Where has the time gone? Wasn’t it just yesterday that we were jumping in to the pool because it was the only way to cool down? Soon, we’re going to be jumping over slush puddles after we avoided the falling leaves of autumn.
But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. There are still a few good hours left in this day (and less ’til the Yankee game starts in Baltimore 
). There’s so much that can still happen. So much that can still be done.
I for one am not ready for the chills of winter to befall us. So, let’s make this day count, and live for today and look forward to tomorrow.
